چکیده
We consider a decentralized networked control system (DNCS) consisting of remote controller and collection linear plants, each associated with local controller. Each directly observes the state its colocated plant can inform plant's through an unreliable uplink channel. The downlink channels from to controllers were assumed be perfect. objective is cooperatively minimize infinite horizon time average expected quadratic cost. finite version this problem was solved in our prior work (“Optimal channels,” IEEE, May 2019). optimal strategies case shown characterized by coupled Riccati recursions. In article, we show that if link failure probabilities are below certain critical thresholds, then recursions solution reach steady corresponding optimal. Above these no strategy achieve exploit connection between DNCS auxiliary Markov jump obtain results. Our main result Theorem 1 explicitly identifies thresholds for when all their thresholds.

Infinite Horizon Sparse Optimal Control
A class of infinite horizon optimal control problems involving Lp-type cost functionals with 0 < p ≤ 1 is discussed. The existence of optimal controls is studied for both the convex case with p = 1 and the nonconvex case with 0 < p < 1, and the sparsity structure of the optimal controls promoted by the Lp-type penalties is analyzed. A dynamic programming approach is proposed to numerically appr...

We consider a networked control system consisting of a remote controller and a collection of linear plants, each associated with a local controller. Each local controller directly observes the state of its co-located plant and can inform the remote controller of the plant’s state through an unreliable uplink channel. We assume that the downlink channels from the remote controller to local contr...

We consider a networked control system (NCS)consisting of two plants, a global plant and a local plant, and two controllers, a global controller and a local controller. The global (resp. local) plant follows discrete-time stochasticallyswitched linear dynamics with a continuous global (resp. local)state and a discrete global (resp. local) mode. We assume thatthe state and ...
متن کاملDecentralized observer-based control via networked communication
This paper provides one of the first approaches to the design of decentralized observer-based outputfeedback controllers for linear plants where the controllers, sensors and actuators are connected via a shared communication network subject to time-varying transmission intervals and delays. Due to the communication medium being shared, it is impossible to transmit all control commands and measu...
متن کاملOptimal Fixed-Size Controllers for Decentralized POMDPs
Solving decentralized partially observable Markov decision processes (DEC-POMDPs) is a difficult task. Exact solutions are intractable in all but the smallest problems and approximate solutions provide limited optimality guarantees. As a more principled alternative, we present a novel formulation of an optimal fixed-size solution of a DEC-POMDP as a nonlinear program. We discuss the benefits of...
